  • Elevate you to the next level in cooking in order for you to understand the ingredients and cooking techniques so you will be able to create your own menus and recipes.

April

Wednesday April 1st - Budget Meals

In this class we will discuss how to plan, shop, prepare and manage the waste of your weekly menus.  With a little planning and know how you can prepare and eat some really good food on a budget

Thursday April 9th - Knife Skills

Learn how to buy, care for and use the most convenient kitchen knives.  Bring your knives and we can discuss them and if they are woth keeping or if you should think about replacing them.

Wednesday April 15th - One Dish Meals

Learn about planning and preparing one dish meals.  This type of menu planning is a great way to utilize your pantry and ingredients that you already have on hand.  With a little planning and know how one dish meals can truly satisfy with very little effort

Thursday April 23rd - Fantastic leftovers

In this class we will discuss how to plan and prepare meals using leftovers.  If done right leftovers are a way to put together a meal with a lot less investment of time without sacrificing texture or flavor.

 Wednesday April 29th - Basic Cooking Skills

This is your introduction to cooking, we will talk about how and where to buy the best and most fresh ingredients and then we will get into the basic cooking techniques to include:  sauteing, roasting, poaching, frying, grilling, braising and blanching.

Thursday May 7th – Spectacular Seafood

A great class for the seafood lover, we will talk about how and where to buy the best seafood and when to use different cooking techniques with the different varieties of fish and seafood.

Wednesday May 13th - How to Buy in Bulk

In this class we will talk about how to buy in bulk.  The difference between Costco and Sam's club and Restaurant Depot.  We will talk about how to buy, package, store, thaw and cook so you do not sacrifice flavor and texture.

Thursday May 21st -  Sushi Basis

In this class we will talk and roll basic sushi.  Learn about techniques and etiquette for eating sushi.  We will prepare and season our own sushi rice and roll a variety of different sushi.  To include, California rolls,spicy tuna rolls, and salmon rolls.  Plus a variety of other ingredients where you can create your own sushi rolls

Wednesday May 27th - The Whole Chicken

In this class we will as the title suggests talk about the whole chicken.  We will do something with each part of the chicken.  You will also learn how to buy a whole chicken and break it down into the individual cuts of chicken that we will use.

Thursday June 4th - Food and Wine Favorites

Everyone likes to entertain, in this class I will show you some great recipes and techniques for preparing some simple dishes that will astonish your guests at your next party.  Learn ways to pre-prepare the items so you can actually enjoy your party rather than working through it.  In addition we will pair each dish with a wine and talk about how to pair food and wine.

Wednesday June 10th - Healthy Cooking Class

Healthy cooking is more a way of life than a cooking style.  You can cook as healthy as you want but if you don’t learn how to eat healthy then you are defeating the purpose.  In this class we will talk about eating healthy and preparing the types of food you like to eat with healthy cooking techniques.

Thursday June 18th - 30 Minute Meals

Time is valuable for you and your family.  In this class we will talk about how to plan and prepare for making your dinners in under 30 minutes.  Not hard to do with a little bit of know how and planning.
