Kids' Classes with Chef Bryan 


  • Young Chefs' Classes

  • The Young Chef classes are designed to help your child become familiar with tools and equipment in the kitchen.  These sessions will be hands on and the recipes will be geared to kids and what they like to eat.  Students also learn cooking techniques that will help them in the years to come as begin preparing meals for themselves.

  •  All participants in the classes will receive a set of take home recipes.  In every class, I encourage the children to practice making at least one of the recipes for their family.

 An innovative concept in children's cooking classes developed to inspire, excite, and feed the curiosity of your growing gourmet.  Growing chefs will have the opportunity to cook and have fun in the kitchen.  They will be introduced to cooking vocabulary and techniques, tools and utensils, basics of etiquette, nutrition, safety, kitchen math and new foods.

During each class the students will work in small groups to prepare the entire class menu.  These classes are hands on and all of the cooking is from scratch.  We will use prepared items only when the recipe calls for something that we do not have time to make.  The children will eat what they prepared at the end of each class.  We try to keep to the schedule of cooking for 90 minutes which leaves the children 30 minutes to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Though I try to avoid menu changes, menus are subject to change without notice based on ingredients availability.

 

All classes are co-ed and the maximum number of students is 16.

of different cooking techniques and processes
